Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities in areas such as literacy, numeracy, language development, art, and motor skills.
- Follow school curriculum frameworks (e.g., Montessori, Play-based, or national guidelines).
- Child-Centered Teaching:
- Foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment that supports the individual needs and interests of each child.
- Use play-based and experiential learning strategies to encourage exploration and development.
- Classroom Management:
- Create and maintain a positive, safe, and organized classroom setting.
- Encourage appropriate behavior through positive reinforcement and clear expectations.
- Assessment & Reporting:
- Observe and assess each child’s progress and development.
- Maintain accurate records and share regular updates with parents through meetings and progress reports.
- Parent Communication:
- Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers through regular communication, workshops, and involvement in school activities.
- Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, assistants, and support staff to create a cohesive learning environment.
- Participate in team meetings, school events, and professional development sessions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Diploma in Pre-Primary or Montessori Education (preferred or required depending on school)
- Experience:
- 1–3 years of teaching experience in a preschool or early childhood setting preferred
