Key Responsibilities
GST Compliance (Post-GST)
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, 9 & 9C
- Manage ITC reconciliation (GSTR‑2B vs books) and control ITC eligibility
- Oversee e-invoicing, HSN classification, tax positions, vendor compliance
- Handle GST mismatches, hold/release process, and reconciliation
Pre-GST (Legacy Matters)
- Drive closure of Excise, VAT, CST, Service Tax cases
- Manage assessments, appeals, reconciliations, VAT mismatch cases
Litigation Management
- In-house Litigation :
- Handle routine notices, audits, and submissions independently
- Build capability to reduce reliance on consultants
- Consultant-led / External Cases :
- Manage complex cases through consultants
- Review submissions, ensure alignment with company tax position
- Monitor cost, quality, and timelines of consultants
Audit & Risk
- Lead GST audits, departmental audits, and internal audits
- Implement tax controls, SOPs, and compliance frameworks
- Ensure strong audit readiness with minimal exposure
Business Advisory
- Provide tax advice on transactions, contracts, and business models
- Support business with tax-efficient structures and compliance alignment
Process & Automation
- Drive automation (ERP / DigiGST) for compliance & reconciliation
- Standardize processes, templates, and documentation
Team Leadership
- Manage and develop team capability
- Drive in-house expertise in compliance and litigation
- Ready to take future role, projects, and responsibilities
Qualification & Experience
- CA (8–10 years)
- Experience in:
- Manufacturing & Service Industries who spared across india.
- GST compliance and advisory
- In-house and consultant-driven litigation
- Pre-GST matters (mandatory)
