Role & Responsibilities:
As Technical Lead – Interior Design, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of interior design projects. This position requires a blend of creative vision, organizational skills, and leadership abilities to ensure the successful execution of design projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate with clients, designers, architects, and vendors to deliver exceptional interior spaces that meet client requirements and exceed expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or obstacles, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Create detailed design documentation, including floor plans, elevations, renderings, and specifications, to communicate design intent to clients.
- Demonstrate deep technical knowledge and expertise in interior design, building systems, materials, and construction methods.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on technical matters to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
- Review and evaluate design drawings to identify technical risks, feasibility issues, and optimization opportunities.
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure design and documentation accuracy, compliance with building codes and regulations, and adherence to project specifications.
- Lead and manage a team of project coordinator and foster a positive and inclusive team environment by providing guidance, mentorship, and technical support.
- Delegate tasks effectively, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively anticipate and address potential issues, making informed decisions to ensure project success.
- Review and evaluate consultant deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to interior design, sustainability, and building codes, integrating this knowledge into design projects where applicable.
Experience & Qualifications:
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
- A bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design
- At least 12 years of experience in a similar role
- Extensive experience in project management within the architecture and design industry, managing large-scale projects.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or other similar tools is essential.
- Ability to create innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing designs that meet client needs.
- Excellent understanding with architectural drafting and documentation standards.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and regulations related to interior design and construction.
