Job Summary:
OculusIT is seeking a strategic and experienced Director – Enterprise Student Applications to lead enterprise application ecosystems for higher education institutions. The role will drive strategy, implementation, modernization, optimization, and managed services delivery across ERP/SIS, CRM, student success platforms, and institutional applications supporting the full student lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will bring strong higher education technology expertise, leadership capabilities, and experience managing enterprise application transformation initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Enterprise Application Leadership

Lead enterprise student application initiatives across multiple higher education institutions.

Define and execute strategic roadmaps for ERP/SIS, CRM, reporting, and student engagement platforms.

Drive ERP modernization, cloud migration, analytics, integrations, and application optimization initiatives.

Serve as a trusted advisor to institutional leadership on digital transformation and operational excellence.

Oversee enterprise platforms including Ellucian Banner, Colleague, Jenzabar, Degree Works, Evisons, and student success solutions.
Product & Platform Innovation

Lead reporting platform strategy, product planning, and institutional engagement initiatives.

Coordinate with product, engineering, and implementation teams for roadmap execution and delivery.

Drive product demos, executive presentations, pilot programs, and client onboarding activities.

Support AI, analytics, integrations, and scalable product innovation initiatives.
Team Leadership & Collaboration

Lead cross-functional teams, consultants, implementation partners, and offshore delivery teams.

Manage ERP consultants, DBAs, developers, analysts, and application specialists.

Ensure delivery quality, operational accountability, and stakeholder collaboration across teams.
Pre-Sales & Solutioning

Participate in pre-sales engagements for ERP and managed services opportunities.

Lead discovery workshops, technical assessments, and solution design discussions.

Develop cloud migration strategies, staffing models, pricing, transition plans, and Statements of Work (SOWs).

Present transformation recommendations and managed services capabilities to institutional stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
-
15+ years of total experience with 8+ years in Higher Education technology, ERP/SIS management, or enterprise application leadership.

Strong experience with ERP/SIS platforms such as Ellucian Banner, Colleague, Jenzabar, DegreeWorks, and related ecosystems.

Experience in managed services, SaaS transformation, and cloud modernization initiatives.

Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and solutioning experience.
-
PMP and/or PgMP certification preferred.
