Role Overview:
We are looking for a Research and Policy Analysis Associate to support research, policy analysis, and knowledge generation across a range of governance and development themes.
The role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of public policy, governance, and strategic research. The associate will track developments across central and state governments, ministries, departments, regulatory and statutory bodies, policy institutions, and public agencies, while translating information into meaningful insights that can inform decision-making and problem-solving.
Working across sectors such as governance, infrastructure, urban development, economy, social sectors, technology, and public service delivery, the associate will contribute to research, comparative analysis, issue identifi cation, trend mapping, and knowledge creation on emerging policy and governance challenges.
This position is well-suited for intellectually curious individuals who enjoy understanding how governments function, how policies evolve, and how innovative solutions emerge across different contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
● Conduct research and policy analysis on governance, development, and public administration themes
● Track major developments, reforms, and policy initiatives across central and state governments
● Monitor updates from ministries, departments, statutory bodies, commissions, public agencies, and institutions such as NITI Aayog
● Identify emerging trends, innovations, challenges, and best practices across sectors and geographies
● Undertake comparative analysis of policies, programmes, and governance models across states and institutions
● Monitor national, state, and regional developments and assess their policy and governance implications
● Prepare research notes, policy briefs, analytical reports, trackers, presentations, and knowledge products
● Support issue mapping, stakeholder research, and evidence gathering for strategic projects
● Develop and maintain structured repositories of research, data, and governance intelligence
● Translate complex information into concise, actionable insights for internal stakeholders
