Job Summary
The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and appearance of all public areas of the hotel, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and employees while adhering to hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all public areas, including the lobby, reception, corridors, elevators, staircases, restrooms, restaurants, banquet areas, meeting rooms, offices, and back-of-house areas.
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces.
- Ensure public washrooms are clean, sanitized, and adequately stocked with toiletries and amenities.
- Remove trash and dispose of waste according to hotel procedures.
- Clean glass panels, mirrors, windows, and other high-touch surfaces.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Replenish housekeeping supplies in assigned areas.
- Operate housekeeping equipment and cleaning machines safely and efficiently.
- Respond promptly to guest requests related to cleanliness and public area maintenance.
- Follow hotel health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist with deep cleaning schedules and special cleaning projects as assigned.
- Support the housekeeping team during high occupancy or special events when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Higher Secondary (12th Pass) or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience in housekeeping or public area cleaning in a reputed hotel.
- Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel will be an added advantage.
- Freshers with a positive attitude may also be considered.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of housekeeping cleaning procedures and chemicals.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit to perform cleaning duties.
- Positive attitude with a strong service orientation.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in luxury or premium hospitality.
- Tamil language proficiency is preferred.
- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Pay: ₹15,266.46 - ₹18,509.81 per month
