Role Overview
We are looking for a poised, professional News Anchor to present live news bulletins, breaking news coverage, and studio discussions for Jazzbaat24's digital platforms. You will be the face of our broadcast, delivering accurate, timely news with clarity and authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Anchor live news segments, prime-time bulletins, and special coverage across Jazzbaat24's digital channels
- Script, rehearse, and deliver news in clear, fluent Bengali; assist with Hindi segments when required
- Conduct live interviews and panel discussions with guests, experts, and correspondents
- Collaborate with the editorial team on story selection, rundown structure, and on-air presentation
- Maintain a professional on-camera presence — dress, diction, and demeanor consistent with the network's standards
- Adapt quickly to breaking news, script changes, and live production demands
Qualifications & Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a news anchor, presenter, or broadcast journalist (digital or television)
- Native or near-native fluency in Bengali (spoken and written); working proficiency in Hindi is a strong advantage
- Strong live teleprompter skills and the ability to ad-lib with confidence under pressure
- Professional grooming and presentation suitable for on-camera broadcast
- Based in or willing to relocate to Kolkata
- Familiarity with digital news workflows, social media integration, and multiplatform content delivery is a plus
