Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, resource planning and reporting for large-scale construction projects. The candidate should have experience in handling mega projects and possess strong analytical and coordination skills to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor and update project schedules and work programs.
- Prepare detailed project plans, milestones and resource allocation schedules.
- Track project progress and identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards and project status updates.
- Analyze project performance and recommend corrective actions to maintain schedule targets.
- Monitor manpower, material and equipment requirements in coordination with site teams.
- Assist in project budgeting, forecasting and cost monitoring activities.
- Review construction methodologies and recommend improvements for project efficiency.
- Maintain project planning documentation and records.
Requirements
- B.Tech/BE in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience as a Planning Engineer in construction projects.
- Experience in planning and monitoring large-scale/mega construction projects.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, resource planning and progress monitoring.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, BOQs and project specifications.
- Excellent analytical, reporting and coordination skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and MS Excel.
- Experience in residential, commercial, infrastructure or industrial construction projects.
- Knowledge of project control methodologies and construction planning practices.
- Familiarity with project performance analysis and reporting systems.
