Job Summary
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading the hotel's sales function by developing and executing strategic sales initiatives to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability. The role involves driving business across all market segments, building strong client relationships, leading the sales team, and collaborating with internal departments to achieve the hotel's business objectives while maintaining brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement annual sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
- Identify new business opportunities across Corporate, MICE, Travel Trade, Government, and Leisure segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, travel partners, event planners, and business associates.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, presentations, and networking activities.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions.
Revenue & Strategy
- Work closely with the Revenue Management team to develop pricing and distribution strategies.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
- Ensure optimal business mix to maximize ADR, RevPAR, and overall hotel revenue.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and departmental goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and training programs.
- Foster a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain long-term relationships with key accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Handle major negotiations and contract renewals.
- Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Revenue, Reservations, Front Office, F&B, Finance, and Operations to ensure seamless execution of business commitments.
- Work closely with the Marketing team on promotional campaigns and brand initiatives.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual sales reports for management.
- Monitor sales KPIs and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Hotel Industry is mandatory.
Experience
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in hotel sales, with at least 3–5 years in a senior sales leadership role such as Director of Sales or Associate Director of Sales.
- Experience with upscale, luxury, or branded hotels is preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and managing key accounts.

Pay: ₹120,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
