Role Description
The Head of Sales Department will lead and oversee all sales initiatives, strategies, and team management efforts to drive business growth. Responsible for developing sales goals, managing client accounts, and identifying new business opportunities. Additional duties include analyzing sales data, mentoring team members, and coordinating with cross-functional departments to align sales strategies. This is a full-time, on-site role located at the company's headquarters in Gurugram.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Sales Head to lead our agricultural drone sales and service business across India. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in selling drones, drone-based agricultural services, or agri-tech solutions. The candidate must possess strong industry connections within fertilizer companies, pesticide manufacturers, contract farming organizations, agri-input distributors, and large agricultural institutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute national sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
* Drive sales of agricultural drones and drone services, including crop spraying and precision farming solutions.
* Build and manage a strong distributor, dealer, and channel partner network across India.
* Establish relationships with fertilizer companies, pesticide manufacturers, FPOs, contract farming organizations, and agri-business enterprises.
* Identify and acquire large institutional and corporate agriculture clients.
* Lead business development initiatives and expand market presence in key agricultural regions.
* Prepare sales forecasts, revenue projections, and market intelligence reports.
* Monitor sales performance and ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
* Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to develop customer-centric solutions.
* Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and agricultural conferences.
* Recruit, train, and manage regional sales teams to maximize performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
* 5–10 years of experience in sales leadership within Agriculture, Agri-Tech, Drone Technology, Farm Equipment, Crop Protection, or Precision Agriculture sectors.
* Strong network within fertilizer, pesticide, seed, and contract farming industries.
* Experience in managing distributor/dealer networks and institutional sales.
* Strong understanding of agricultural drone applications and services.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
* Ability to travel extensively across India.
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior experience selling agricultural drones or drone services.
* Existing relationships with large agri-input companies, FPOs, cooperatives, and government agricultural departments.
* Knowledge of precision agriculture technologies and digital farming solutions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Achievement of national sales and revenue targets.
* Expansion of dealer and distributor network.
* Acquisition of large institutional and enterprise customers.
* Growth in drone service contracts and recurring revenue.
* Market share expansion across targeted agricultural regions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary package as per industry and market standards.
- Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and performance during the selection process.
- Performance-based incentives may be offered for achieving business development and revenue targets.
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
