Position: Dialysis Technician

Reports To: Dialysis In-Charge / Nephrologist / Nursing Superintendent
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dialysis Technician to provide safe and efficient hemodialysis treatment to patients with kidney-related disorders. The candidate will be responsible for operating dialysis machines, monitoring patients during treatment, maintaining dialysis records, and managing all dialysis-related documentation and sheets accurately.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate dialysis machines before, during, and after treatment.
- Perform hemodialysis procedures as per prescribed protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after dialysis.
- Ensure proper vascular access care and infection control practices.
- Identify and report any complications or emergencies to the Nephrologist and Nursing Staff immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of dialysis equipment and treatment areas.
Documentation & Sheet Management
- Maintain and update all dialysis-related sheets and records, including:
- Dialysis Treatment Sheets
- Patient Assessment Forms
- Machine Maintenance Logs
- Water Quality Records
- Consent Forms
- Medication Administration Records
- Daily Dialysis Census Reports
- Infection Control Checklists
- Consumable & Inventory Records
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient documentation.
- Maintain digital and physical records as per hospital policies.
- Coordinate with billing and administrative departments for treatment records and documentation.
Equipment & Inventory Management
- Perform routine machine checks and preventive maintenance.
- Report equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Monitor dialysis consumables and maintain adequate stock levels.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of dialysis supplies.
Quality & Compliance
- Follow NABH, hospital, and infection control guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and biomedical waste management regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Dialysis Technology or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Valid certification in Dialysis Technology (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a hospital dialysis unit.
- Experience in handling chronic and acute dialysis cases.
- Experience in maintaining dialysis documentation and patient records.
Skills Required
- Thorough knowledge of dialysis procedures and equipment.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to manage multiple patient records and dialysis sheets accurately.
- Good communication and patient-care skills.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols.
- Computer proficiency and hospital software knowledge preferred.
Salary
- As per qualification, experience, and hospital policy.
Working Hours
- Rotational shifts, including weekends and emergency duties as required.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
