Job Title: Project Engineer

Intec Infra is a trusted backend operations partner for one of the United States' largest and most innovative construction companies and have set up a Global Delivery Center (GDC) for this construction company. This GDC is the backbone behind some of America's most complex, high-visibility infrastructure and commercial projects which range from landmark towers to mission-critical facilities. As the GDC enters a rapid expansion phase, we are building a world-class team of engineering professionals who work from Gurugram to drive real-world impact on U.S. construction sites. This is your opportunity to gain deep expertise in American construction practices, project engineering discipline, and VDC strategy, all from Intec office in Gurugram. This is not a traditional CAD/Revit position. As part of this GDC, your work begins after LOD 300. You will transition from production modeling into strategic project engineering, solving live construction challenges that directly affect project profitability and schedule.

JOB DESCRIPTION: PROJECT ENGINEER
Project Engineer will join a project team tasked with the responsibility for all technical and engineering aspects of the GDC project. The Project engineer will participate in daily coordination between the GDC (India) & Cient’s US teams. The Project Engineer is all the technical tasks to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality for the lifecycle of the project.
Responsibilities :
● Participate/be involved in all activities related to project management, change orders, submittals, and other project engineering tasks.
● Undergo training & be familiar with all GDC services related to project engineering verticals in order to perform tasks per highest standards required as GDC team members.
● Participate in coordination & communication with the Client’s US project managers during the daily project meetings & provide updates on their assigned tasks.
● Have a thorough understanding of industry construction practices and how facilities are design & built in Indian & foreign markets.
● Understanding & prepared to work on all project engineering activities including (but not limited to) 2D overlays, submittals, change orders, estimation, etc.
● Assist the project managers on initial estimating efforts of new projects in terms of hours & resources required for successful projects’ execution.
● Maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at both India & US entities.
● Maintain thorough quality assurance / control standards & protocols across the company and individual projects.
● Develop and lead training sessions for your team and trade partners.
● Take ownership of document management applications.Basic Qualifications
● Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, related discipline or relevant work experience
● 5-8 years construction experience required; working for reputed construction/engineering firms preferred.
● Demonstrated knowledge of change order and submittals management, and general project administration.
● Demonstrated ability reading drawings and specifications.
● Computer proficient including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.
● Preferred – Bluebeam/On-screen takeoffs/estimation software experience
● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
● Interest and passion for building and industry

Must-Haves:
- 5–8 years of construction/project engineering experience.
- Mandatory experience in BIM and Revit with exposure to construction documentation and project coordination.
- Degree in Mechanical & Electrical.
- Only candidates from Mechanical or Electrical engineering backgrounds are eligible.
- Experience handling at least two of the following:-
o Submittals
o Change Orders
o RFIs
o Quantity Take-Offs
o Estimation
o Project Coordination
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills, as the role involves daily coordination with US teams.
- Engineer/Architect/ Construction Professionals (Structure, Architecture & MEFPF).
- Software Experience: Bluebeam/Revit/AutoCAD/Navisworks/estimation software experience/Civil3D/Revizto
- And has to have international exposure and client handling experience.
Nice to Have:
- Mechanical HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection (MEPF) or Building Services background.
- Experience working on commercial, residential, healthcare, data center, industrial, or large-scale building projects.
EDUCATION:
- Degree in Mechanical & Electrical.
