We are looking for a responsible, experienced, and customer-oriented Pharmacy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail pharmacy branch. The candidate will be responsible for managing pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising staff, maintaining inventory, achieving sales targets, and delivering excellent customer service while adhering to company SOPs and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy branch.
- Ensure accurate dispensing of medicines as per valid prescriptions in compliance with statutory regulations.
- Supervise and guide pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and other branch staff.
- Ensure excellent customer service and effective resolution of customer concerns.
- Monitor branch sales and implement strategies to achieve sales and business targets.
- Ensure proper availability of medicines and healthcare products by monitoring inventory levels.
- Verify inward stock, GRN process, stock transfers, and inventory reconciliation.
- Monitor medicine expiry, damaged stock, and ensure timely returns and disposal as per company policy.
- Ensure accurate billing, cash handling, and reconciliation of daily transactions.
- Maintain compliance with Drug Control regulations and other applicable legal requirements.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines, cold chain products, and healthcare items.
- Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification to minimize inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor fast-moving and non-moving products and coordinate replenishment with the purchase team.
- Ensure implementation and adherence to company SOPs, operational policies, and quality standards.
- Train, motivate, and evaluate branch staff to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to management.
- Coordinate with Head Office departments regarding inventory, HR, accounts, and operational requirements.
- Handle escalations related to customers, staff, and operational issues professionally.
- Ensure branch cleanliness, safety, and overall store presentation.
- Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the management.
Eligibility Criteria
- Preferred Qualification: B.Pharm / D.Pharm.
- Registered Pharmacist with valid State Pharmacy Council registration is preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in retail pharmacy operations, with supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, inventory management, billing, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in handling pharmacy management software and billing systems.
- Good leadership, communication, and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to manage branch operations independently.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts as per business requirements.
