Position Title: Office Caretaker & Maintenance Staff
Department: Administration / Facility Management
Location: Kasba, Kolkata
Reporting To: Admin Head
Salary: Rs. 20000.00 to 25000.00 (as per experience and efficiency)
Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and trustworthy Office Caretaker & Maintenance Staff to manage the overall cleanliness, upkeep, maintenance, and basic operational support of the office premises.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day maintenance activities, cleanliness, office support services, and coordination for repairs and facility-related requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Maintenance & Upkeep
- Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of office premises.
- Monitor and maintain office furniture, fixtures, electrical items, and utility areas.
- Perform regular inspection of office facilities and report any repair or maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, carpenters, AC technicians, and other service vendors when required.
Housekeeping Supervision
- Ensure proper cleaning of cabins, workstations, meeting rooms, pantry, washrooms, and common areas.
- Monitor housekeeping staff and ensure daily cleaning activities are completed properly.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards within office premises.
Utility & Support Services
- Monitor electricity, water supply, lighting, air-conditioning, and other facility-related operations.
- Ensure proper functioning of office equipment and utility systems.
- Support in arranging meeting rooms, office events, and guest visits.
Material & Inventory Monitoring
- Maintain stock of office cleaning materials, pantry items, and maintenance supplies.
- Coordinate for purchase or replenishment of required materials.
Safety & Security Support
- Ensure office premises are properly locked/unlocked as per schedule.
- Monitor safety practices and report any security or maintenance concerns immediately.
Additional Responsibilities
- Handle miscellaneous office support activities assigned by management.
- Support administration team in day-to-day operational requirements.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of office maintenance and facility management
- Understanding of electrical, plumbing, and general repair coordination
- Responsible and disciplined work attitude
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple maintenance tasks
Experience Required
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in office maintenance, caretaker, or facility support role preferred.

Working Conditions
