- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day lab activities, workflow processes, and sample management to ensure high efficiency and minimal downtime. [1, 2]
- Inventory & Procurement: Manage laboratory stock levels, order reagents/consumables, and maintain vendor relationships to prevent supply shortages. [1, 2]
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure the lab meets all regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, NABL, or OSHA) by enforcing safety protocols and proper chemical disposal. [1, 2]
- Equipment Maintenance: Schedule routine calibrations, repairs, and preventive maintenance for all laboratory instruments. [1, 2]
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and evaluate lab technicians and administrative staff. [1, 2]
- Financial & Budgeting: Propose, justify, and manage the laboratory’s annual operating budget, including cost tracking and billing operations. [1, 2, 3]
Qualifications & Education
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry), Healthcare Administration, or Business Management
