Position: Sales Assistant (Inside Sales – Engineering)Role Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to support our sales team in handling inquiries, preparing quotations, managing customer communication, and assisting in tender processes. The role requires coordination across departments and a basic understanding of technical products.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales Coordination & Support
- Assist the sales team in daily operations and coordination
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and digital platforms
- Maintain regular follow-ups with customers for inquiries, updates, and feedback
2. Quotation & Proposal Preparation (Core Responsibility)
- Prepare techno-commercial quotations based on sales inputs and customer requirements
- Understand basic costing, pricing, and commercial terms
- Ensure accuracy in specifications, pricing, and documentation
- Support in revising quotations based on negotiation and discussions
3. Tender Management & Portal Handling
- Assist in tender documentation preparation (technical + commercial)
- Handle government and private portals such as:
- GeM (Government e-Marketplace)
- Nexarc / other tender platforms (if applicable)
- Upload documents, track submissions, and maintain tender records
- Coordinate internally for required documents like certifications, compliance, drawings
4. Customer & Data Management
- Maintain and update customer database in CRM/ERP systems
- Track leads, inquiries, and conversion status
- Maintain proper documentation and filing system
5. Order Processing & Execution Support
- Support in order entry, processing, and tracking
- Coordinate with:
- Production
- Purchase
- Quality
- Dispatch
- Accounts
- Ensure smooth execution and timely delivery
6. Reporting & MIS
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports
- Generate MIS reports and basic data analysis for management
- Track sales performance and pending activities
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Or related field
- 1–3 years experience in inside sales (preferably engineering/manufacturing)
Required Skills & KnowledgeTechnical & Functional Skills
- Basic understanding of industrial products / machinery / fabrication
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings (preferred)
- Knowledge of quotation preparation & costing basics
- Basic exposure to tendering process and documentation
Software Skills
- MS Excel (important), Word, PowerPoint
- CRM/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, or similar)

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹37,100.76 per month
