We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer with extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise scale Business Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, data modeling, report optimization, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Power BI Development
. Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
. Translate business requirements into effective reporting and analytical solutions.
. Create complex DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and business metrics.
. Develop and maintain reusable datasets and semantic models.
. Implement report navigation, drill through, bookmarks, and advanced visualizations.
. Ensure reports meet performance, scalability, and usability requirements.
2. Data Modeling
. Design and implement Star Schema and Snowflake Schema models.
. Develop optimized data models for reporting and analytics.
. Establish relationships, hierarchies, and calculated tables.
. Optimize model performance for large datasets.
3. Data Transformation
. Develop and maintain Power Query (M Language) transformations.
. Integrate data from multiple sources such as SharePoint, APIs, and cloud platforms.
. Perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation activities.
. Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues.
4. Security & Governance
. Implement and maintain Row Level Security (RLS).
. Manage workspace access and report permissions.
. Follow Power BI governance and best practices.
. Ensure compliance with organizational security standards.
5. Performance Optimization
. Optimize DAX calculations and report performance.
. Analyze and improve dataset refresh efficiency.
. Reduce report load times through efficient data modeling techniques.
. Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI Service refresh issues.
6. Power BI Service Administration
. Manage workspaces, apps, gateways, datasets, and dataflows.
. Configure scheduled refreshes and deployment processes.
. Support report publishing and production deployments.
. Monitor refresh history and troubleshoot failures.
7. Stakeholder Collaboration
. Work closely with business users to gather requirements and define KPIs.
. Participate in UAT, deployment, and postproduction support.
. Communicate technical solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
. Provide user training and knowledge transfer sessions.
