Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional to join our team as a Revenue Recognition Specialist. This role is critical in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, compliance with Ind AS, and delivering insightful MIS reports to support business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, strong knowledge of Ind AS and ability to collaborate across functions to drive efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in line with applicable Ind AS.
Review customer contracts, billing terms and milestones to evaluate revenue recognition.
Liaise with Legal and Business teams to obtain clarity on terms that impact revenue accounting.
Partner with business teams to resolve revenue-related queries and provide guidance on accounting treatment.
Validate and process invoices, credit notes, and billing requests while ensuring compliance with contractual terms and applicable statutory requirements.
Ensure compliance with GST and other regulatory norms related to revenue & invoicing process.
Highlight key concerns in revenue and accounts receivable.
Support statutory and internal audits by providing timely documentation and explanations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and automation within the revenue operations function.
Maintain strong internal controls to ensure data integrity and reliability of financial reporting.
Desired Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Ind AS and revenue recognition principles.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage timelines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Familiarity with GST regulations and other statutory compliance requirements.
