ROLE OVERVIEW
Research Interns will support the project team with policy analysis, literature review, data interpretation, and report writing for the Delhi Station Decongestion and Maintenance Facility Study. This role is ideal for candidates from planning, public policy, economics, or social science backgrounds seeking exposure to large-scale infrastructure consultancy work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct literature reviews on railway decongestion strategies, maintenance facility planning, and operational best practices
- Assist in policy analysis related to Indian Railways maintenance and infrastructure development frameworks
- Support data collection, cleaning, and interpretation for traffic flow, operational, and land use analyses
- Prepare research summaries, briefing notes, and input sections for project reports and presentations
- Assist with stakeholder consultation preparation and documentation
- Support senior consultants in synthesis of findings across technical and policy domains
- Perform desk research on national and international case studies of railway yard decongestion and depot relocation
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Currently pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's or Master's in Planning, Public Policy, Economics, Architecture, Engineering, Social Sciences, or related disciplines
- Experience in research, policy analysis, and report writing preferred
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis tools
- Interest in transport, infrastructure, or urban development policy
