About us
Medavera Technologies builds medical simulation and anatomy training products — including instrumented mannequins, task trainers and haptic devices used to train clinicians. Our R&D centre is in Zirakpur, Punjab.
About the role
Our simulators are physical as well as virtual. You'll own the electronics inside them — schematic through PCB through firmware through bring-up — and the interface that carries sensor data into the simulation software. This is a hands-on bench role as much as a CAD role.
What you'll do
- Design schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts for sensing, actuation and control boards.
- Write embedded firmware in C/C++ on STM32 (ARM Cortex-M) and ESP32 platforms.
- Integrate and calibrate sensors — force, pressure, load cells, IMUs, hall-effect, encoders — including analogue signal conditioning.
- Drive actuators for haptic and mechanical feedback: servos, steppers, solenoids, motor drivers and power stages.
- Build the hardware-to-software communication layer over USB HID, serial, BLE or Wi-Fi.
- Bring up prototypes and debug at board level with oscilloscope and logic analyser.
- Maintain BOMs, schematics, test procedures and documentation; coordinate with fabrication and assembly vendors.
- Work alongside mechanical, software and 3D teams on integrated builds.
Requirements
- 2–5 years in embedded systems or electronics product development.
- PCB design in Altium, KiCad or Eagle — schematic capture and layout.
- Strong embedded C/C++ — bare-metal, HAL and RTOS.
- Hands-on with UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB and at least one wireless stack.
- Sensor interfacing and analogue signal conditioning — amplification, filtering, ADC selection, noise management.
- Practical bench debugging with oscilloscope, logic analyser and multimeter.
- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation or related.
Preferred
- Haptic or force-feedback system design.
- Medical device or lab instrumentation experience; awareness of IEC 60601.
- Closed-loop motor control and PID tuning.
- Python for test automation and calibration rigs.
- Basic Unity or Unreal familiarity for hardware integration.
- CAD literacy (SolidWorks / Fusion 360).
Apply through Indeed with your CV. Please include details of at least one project you took from schematic to working hardware — board photos, schematics or a repo link are all welcome.
