Primary Teacher – Job Summary
The Primary Teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment for students in Grades I to V. The role involves planning and delivering lessons aligned with the school's curriculum, assessing student progress, fostering holistic development, and maintaining effective communication with parents. The teacher is expected to promote academic excellence, discipline, creativity, and values while ensuring the overall well-being and safety of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate students' academic performance and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain lesson plans, attendance records, student portfolios, and assessment records.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Encourage students' intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Manage classroom discipline using positive behavior management strategies.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, training programs, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, CBSE guidelines (where applicable), and child safety standards.
