MALKS Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Wiring Harness Design Engineer with 3–8 years of experience in automotive wiring harness design. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in CATIA V5 Electrical Harness Design, wiring harness routing, electrical schematics, connector selection, and engineering documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive wiring harness systems using CATIA V5.
- Create and maintain 3D wiring harness routing and packaging layouts.
- Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings and electrical harness documentation.
- Select connectors, terminals, clips, clamps, grommets, conduits, and protective components.
- Perform wire sizing, voltage drop calculations, grounding, and circuit protection analysis.
- Support integration of ECUs, sensors, actuators, battery systems, and communication networks.
- Review packaging feasibility and resolve vehicle integration issues.
- Prepare and maintain BOM, design releases, and engineering change documentation (ECN/ECR).
- Coordinate with manufacturing, suppliers, quality, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with customer standards and automotive quality requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of CATIA V5 Electrical Harness Design.
- Experience in automotive wiring harness routing and packaging.
- Knowledge of electrical schematics and circuit connectivity.
- Understanding of connector selection, wire sizing, grounding, and circuit protection.
- Familiarity with CAN communication fundamentals.
- Experience in BOM preparation and Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR).
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Advantage Preferred Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in automotive wiring harness design.
- Experience working with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, or automotive engineering service companies.
- Experience in EV wiring harness projects will be an added advantage.
