Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month (Based on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled CAD Pattern Designer to join our apparel manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have experience in creating accurate garment patterns using CAD software, grading patterns for multiple sizes, and preparing production-ready files for manufacturing. Experience in sportswear, knitwear, or woven garments is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Create garment patterns using CAD software.
- Develop first patterns based on design sketches, technical drawings, and measurements.
- Perform pattern grading for all required sizes.
- Prepare marker layouts to optimize fabric utilization.
- Modify patterns based on fit comments and sample feedback.
- Coordinate with the design, sampling, and production teams.
- Ensure patterns meet quality, fit, and production standards.
- Maintain organized digital pattern libraries and documentation.
- Support sample development and bulk production with accurate pattern files.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in CAD pattern-making software (Gerber, Lectra, Tukatech, Optitex, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and pattern development.
- Experience in pattern grading and marker making.
- Understanding of fabric properties and garment fit.
- Ability to interpret technical packs and measurement charts.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in CAD pattern making.
- Experience with sportswear, activewear, uniforms, or fashion garments.
- Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes.
