Senior Engineer - GPC Projects (m)
In this role, you will lead localization, product transfer, and cost-optimization projects, while managing end-to-end execution to ensure technical feasibility, define assembly concepts, and support smooth production ramp-up and ramp-down.
Your job:
• Drive Localization projects in co-ordination with Head Quarters Industrial Engineering Team using Project Management Tools & Techniques
• Project Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Close Out with each phase gate review & release process • Interact with Global Industrial Engineering & work closely on relocation & transfer projects. Plan ramp up & ramp down for series production
• Create road map for Technology to increase the inhouse value addition for product as part of initiative from Corporate Industrial Engineering
• Work closely with TEC (Technology Engineering Center) for new development Project like PDP, EV & other Novelty Projects • Co-ordinate & work closely with Purchase to explore the options for Sub contracting and sourcing options. • Provide necessary inputs for Costing/NPV calculation to decide on business case in alignment & inputs from CFT (Cross Functional Team)
• Conduct Technical Feasibility analysis of the product including the BOM explosion to study the manufacturing process of the components
• Study Assembly sequence create the assembly line concept including investment, layout design, space required, operators required based on the takt time & line balance.
• Keep track of all running projects with mile stone tracking as PMO
• Team player & work in a dynamically challenging work environment showing agility & resilience.
Our requirements:
• BE/B.Tech - Mechanical/Industrial/Production Engineering with 8-10 Years of Experience in handling Projects • Strong understanding of Project Management tools & Techniques both Traditional & Agile Project Management. • PMP Certification from PMI would be an added advantage
