The Role
As a Buyer I with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- Preperation of Procurement Strategy for a Project
- Finalisation of Procurment templates
- Preperation of Project Approved Vendor List in consulatation with CVL Team
- Preperation of Individual Procurement Plan (IPP)
- Preperation & Evaluation of Pre-qualification documents
- Managment of Purchase Process (RFQ to Order)
- Resolution of Commercial queries
- Communication & Coordination for resolution of Technical queries
- Negotiation of Offers / Quotes, as required
- Preperation of Purchase Order
Additional Responsibilities:
- Resolution of change requirements & - Preperation of Change Orders
- Identify and finalise scope variations with Change Notes
- Project Procurement closure with update on orders, Suppliers & Contractors performance
- Effective usage of resources to achive effeciency in deliverables and work with in the budget
- To lead a team of Buyers for the designated project / area with compliance to deliverables
- Coordination with Expediting & Inspection leads of the designated Project Procurement
- Coordination with Projects & Engineering for smooth functioning and conflict resolutions
- Build and Maintain good relationship with Client SME teams
- Project Management Reports

About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical,E&I.
- Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical,E&I.
- PG Diploma in Materaial Management or equivalent is an added advantage
Experience:
- B.E. Graduates: 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
Diploma Holders: 12 to 18 years of relevant experience.
