We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Programmer to join our manufacturing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and write CNC programs (manually and via CAM software) for turning and milling machines.
- Utilize and optimize G-code and M-code for various CNC controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Haas).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models (2D & 3D).
- Perform or support machine setups, including selecting tools, setting work offsets, and loading programs.
- Verify program accuracy through simulation and test runs, making necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Optimize tool paths and machining parameters for efficiency, surface finish, and cycle time.
- Troubleshoot machining problems and recommend solutions.
- Work closely with engineering, QC, and production teams to maintain part quality and resolve design/manufacturing challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation for programs, setups, and tool lists.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Certification in CNC Programming, Machining, or Manufacturing Technology.
- Proven hands-on experience with CNC turning and milling operations.
- Proficiency in manual G-code programming and use of CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
- Familiarity with CNC controllers such as Fanuc, Haas, Siemens.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, GD&T, and machining tolerances.
- Ability to select appropriate cutting tools and work holding methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
