Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and business-focused Data Manager to join our growing data and analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise data assets, driving data governance initiatives, ensuring data quality and compliance, and enabling organizations to make data-driven business decisions.
This role requires strong expertise in data management practices, stakeholder collaboration, data governance frameworks, and hands-on experience working with large-scale databases and enterprise data ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee enterprise data assets including data modeling, data cataloging, data governance, data quality, and risk management activities.
- Develop and implement data standards, procedures, and guidelines for collecting, securing, handling, and sharing organizational data.
- Align, integrate, and consolidate data assets across business units to improve consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure smooth data operations.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify data patterns, relationships, opportunities, and business challenges.
- Gather and drive business data requirements and translate them into functional data designs.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers and technical teams to support technical design and implementation activities.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance policies and data privacy regulations.
- Support initiatives related to data quality management, metadata management, and master data management.
- Promote best practices for data stewardship, governance, and lifecycle management across the organization.
Role Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of industry experience in Data Management or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with modern large-scale databases and enterprise IT systems.
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience working with complex datasets.
- Ability to analyze and interpret large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Good understanding of data governance, data quality, and data lifecycle management principles.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security compliance frameworks such as GDPR, NIST, and CCPA.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-centric mindset with strong focus on business value delivery and execution excellence.
- Experience working with enterprise data platforms and cloud-based data ecosystems.
- Familiarity with data cataloging and metadata management tools.
- Understanding of data warehousing and analytics concepts.
- Experience working in Agile or collaborative cross-functional environment.
