Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Jr. Officer – Environment to join our Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team. The ideal candidate should have up to 2 years of experience in the chemical industry and hands-on knowledge of environmental systems such as ETP, STP, RO, and MEE operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor ETP, STP, RO, and MEE systems as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor process parameters including flow rate, pH, chemical dosing, aeration, sludge generation, and treated water quality.
- Ensure smooth operation of pumps, blowers, agitators, filters, and dosing systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and report equipment abnormalities promptly.
- Maintain daily operational logbooks and shift records.
- Collect wastewater, treated water, and process water samples.
- Perform laboratory testing including pH, TDS, TSS, DO, MLVSS, and COD analysis.
- Maintain laboratory instruments, calibration records, and testing reports.
- Support compliance with environmental regulations and statutory requirements.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly environmental documentation.
- Assist during internal, external, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Monitor chemical, water, steam, and electricity consumption related to environmental operations.
- Report equipment breakdowns and operational issues to the concerned team.
- Follow EHS policies, ensure proper use of PPE, and maintain good housekeeping standards.
- Participate in safety training, emergency response, and environmental awareness programs.
