Skills & Responsibilities:
Perform the following tasks under some guidance:
- Work as Project Manager on mid-size / large projects independently; or work along with Project Director on bigger mandate projects.
- Be the focal point and responsible for monitoring overall project execution.
- Providing leadership and technical, operational, financial, and managerial leadership for the successful implementation of the project.
- Establish Project / Workshare Execution Plan, Project Quality Plan, and ensure compliance to project specific procedures, guidelines, change management, etc.
- Provide necessary direction to the Project Controls team in setting up of WBS, Schedule Baseline, Progress Norms, and progress measurement.
- Work closely with Engineering Manager if assigned on allocated projects.
- Lead preparation/review of bi-weekly / monthly reports and reporting to Client / home office.
- Present project status to Management during periodic review meetings.
- Carry out lag analysis with Project Controls and Engineering team, propose and implement mitigation actions to recover the lag.
- Review the Basic Engineering package for FEED Projects and FEED package for Detailed Engineering and EPCM Projects.
- Coordinate with Client, Vendors, Process Licensor, Site and other Statutory agencies.
- Interdisciplinary coordination between Engineering disciplines, Procurement, Inspection, Expediting group / Vendors and Site team (Construction as applicable).
- Ensure Lessons Learned are captured during execution and are implemented on future projects.
- Perform Qualitative Risk Analysis with all stakeholders and maintain Risk Register.
- Carry out Costing and Resource / Software Estimation of Projects.
- Close coordination with Project Controls team for monitoring and control of project performance.
- Ensure final project documents are compiled in order and submitted to Client.
- Review and approval of Project Close-out Report
- Mentor Junior Engineers, provide trainings.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering in chemical or mechanical from Indian Universities (UGC Approved) or from overseas university

Minimum 15 years of relevant oil and gas project experience

Demonstrated ability to manage multi-discipline teams doing feasibility, FEED and detailed engineering, procurement and execution phases of projects

Understand contract requirements, development and negotiation

Honors degree or additional postgraduate qualification

Project management – the ability to be decisive, and adept at spotting potential problems and finding appropriate solutions to keep productivity and client satisfaction high

Time management – the ability to adhere to tight deadlines and prioritise tasks to ensure tasks and projects are completed on time

Leadership and interpersonal abilities – the ability to oversee diverse teams of people, give clear instructions, and effectively manage the team’s performance

A good Project Manager communicates most of the time. For this role, we need a strong, articulate, and influential communicator both in writing and verbally

Computer Applications: Windows Operating Systems, MS Office, Power BI (preferred).

Software - Some knowledge of CPM-PERT is a must (either through MS-Project or equivalent).

Knowledge of Project Management software like Primavera, Procurement & Contract Management is preferred.
Communication:
