About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Shopify Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining Shopify stores while ensuring high performance, seamless functionality, and an exceptional user experience. You will work closely with designers, marketers, and project managers to deliver scalable eCommerce solutions for D2C brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus stores.
- Build custom Shopify themes and sections using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON.
- Implement responsive, mobile-first designs that work across all devices.
- Integrate third-party applications, payment gateways, shipping solutions, and APIs.
- Optimize website performance, page speed, and Core Web Vitals.
- Troubleshoot bugs, resolve technical issues, and perform regular maintenance.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to convert designs into pixel-perfect Shopify stores.
- Work closely with the marketing team to implement landing pages, promotional campaigns, and conversion-focused features.
- Implement tracking tools such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), Meta Pixel, and Conversion API.
- Follow Shopify coding standards, security best practices, and version control using Git.
- Stay updated with the latest Shopify features, technologies, and industry trends.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of hands-on Shopify development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify, Shopify Plus, and Shopify Theme Architecture.
- Proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), AJAX, and JSON.
- Experience with Shopify APIs (REST and GraphQL).
- Experience integrating third-party Shopify apps and custom functionalities.
- Understanding of responsive web development and cross-browser compatibility.
- Knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Shopify CLI and custom app development.
- Knowledge of React.js, Node.js, or headless Shopify (Hydrogen/Oxygen) is a plus.
- Experience with D2C or eCommerce brands.
- Portfolio of live Shopify websites or GitHub projects.
