Reports To: Supervisor / Shift In-Charge / Department Head
Job Summary
The Helper is responsible for providing support to technicians, operators, fitters, welders, electricians, and production staff in day-to-day factory operations. The role involves assisting with material handling, equipment cleaning, maintenance activities, housekeeping, and ensuring smooth workflow within the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist operators, technicians, fitters, welders, electricians, and maintenance personnel in daily tasks.
- Load, unload, move, and arrange materials, tools, and equipment as required.
- Support maintenance and repair activities by providing tools and materials.
- Clean machinery, equipment, workstations, and surrounding work areas.
- Assist in machine setup, dismantling, and assembly activities under supervision.
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Help in packing, labeling, and handling finished products and raw materials.
- Support inventory and warehouse activities when required.
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or workplace hazards to supervisors.
- Follow all company safety rules and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) properly.
- Assist during plant shutdowns, maintenance work, and emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8th Pass, 10th Pass, or 12th Pass (as per company requirements).
- Basic understanding of factory operations is preferred.
Experience
- Freshers can apply.
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing plants, warehouses, construction sites, or industrial environments is preferred.
Skills Required
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety practices.
- Teamwork and cooperative attitude.
- Punctuality and willingness to learn.
