Business Development Manager (BDM)
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving the overall growth, profitability, and expansion of the allocated branch and its territory. The role involves overseeing branch-wise revenue generation, profit and loss (P&L), sales performance, marketing initiatives, and lead generation activities while ensuring effective team leadership and operational excellence.
The BDM will play a key role in developing market opportunities, strengthening brand presence, and ensuring the branch achieves its business targets through strategic planning, execution, and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
1. Branch Business Growth & Development
● Develop and implement branch-wise business development strategies to achieve revenue targets.
● Identify and explore new market opportunities within the assigned territory.
● Build strong relationships with schools, colleges, institutions, corporate partners, and other key stakeholders.
● Plan and execute territory expansion strategies to increase market penetration. Ensure strong presence across both digital and offline platforms.
● Monitor competitor activities and market trends to maintain a competitive advantage.
2. Branch Profit & Loss Management
● Take complete ownership of branch-level P&L (Profit & Loss).
● Monitor revenue generation, operational costs, and profitability of the branch. ● Ensure the branch meets financial targets and business goals.
● Implement strategies to improve cost efficiency and revenue growth.
3. Sales Team Management
● Lead, mentor, and monitor the branch sales team to achieve monthly and quarterly targets. ● Set clear performance metrics and conversion benchmarks.
● Conduct regular performance reviews, training, and motivation sessions
.● Ensure effective lead handling, follow-ups, and conversion processes.
● Maintain strong coordination between sales, marketing, and operations teams.
4. Marketing & Seminar Team Monitoring
● Oversee seminars, workshops, and promotional campaigns conducted by the marketing team.
● Ensure marketing activities generate high-quality leads and brand visibility. ● Monitor field marketing teams, institutional visits, and event execution.
● Evaluate the ROI of marketing initiatives and campaigns.
5. Lead Generation Management
● Monitor the lead generation team and offline lead acquisition channels.
● Ensure proper lead distribution, follow-up, and tracking systems are maintained. ● Optimize lead conversion through effective lead nurturing strategies.
6. Revenue Building & Target Achievement
● Drive consistent revenue growth for the branch.
● Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets are achieved.
● Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services.
● Develop and implement sales growth strategies.
7. Branch Expansion
● Identify potential areas for expansion and new market entry.
● Establish strong local partnerships to increase brand presence and business reach.
8. Leadership & Team Development
● Provide strong leadership and guidance to all branch teams.
● Foster a performance-driven and positive work culture.
● Ensure continuous training and development of team members.
● Encourage accountability, discipline, and result-oriented performance.
9. BDE Team Management
● Provide strong leadership and guidance to the Business Development Executive (BDE) team.
● Monitor daily activities, performance, and target achievement of the BDE team. ● Conduct regular training, mentoring, and skill development sessions to improve team performance.
● Ensure effective execution of seminars, events, lead generation, and field activities handled by the BDE team.
10. Reporting & Coordination
● Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
● Present branch performance updates to the COO / Management.
● Maintain accurate data tracking and CRM reporting.
● Ensure smooth coordination between branch teams and head office.
Experience
● Minimum 5+ years of experience in Business Development / Sales Management. ● Proven experience in branch management or territory sales management in the education field.
● Experience in team leadership and revenue generation roles.

Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
