About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our engineering team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Python development, backend engineering, REST APIs, databases, and software development practices.
This is a hybrid role, and candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
- Build and integrate REST APIs and backend services.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Debug application issues and optimize application performance.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs as required.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, QA, and other stakeholders.
- Follow secure coding, Git, documentation, and software development best practices.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of hands-on Python development experience
- Strong knowledge of Python programming
- Experience with backend frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
- Strong experience developing REST APIs
- Good understanding of SQL and databases
- Experience with Git and version control
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Good to Have
- Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Docker / Kubernetes
- CI/CD pipelines
- Microservices architecture
- Redis, Kafka, or other messaging technologies
- Automated testing using PyTest / unittest
- Experience with Linux environments
