The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring the timely availability of materials, equipment, and services required for the company's operations. The role involves vendor management, cost negotiation, purchase order processing, inventory coordination, and maintaining accurate procurement records.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, delivery schedule, and reliability.
- Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and negotiate the best prices and payment terms.
- Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials as per project and production requirements.
- Coordinate with the stores, production, accounts, and project teams regarding material requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchases to prevent stock shortages.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors.
- Compare quotations and prepare comparative statements for management approval.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any supply-related issues.
- Verify material quality and quantity in coordination with the Stores and Quality teams.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor databases, and procurement documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Prepare monthly purchase reports, cost analysis, and vendor performance reports.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
- Handle emergency and urgent purchase requirements efficiently.
- Support management with market research and supplier development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Diploma or certification in Procurement or Materials Management is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Purchase Executive, preferably in the construction, interior design, modular furniture, manufacturing, or building materials industry.
Required Skills
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP software.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet procurement deadlines.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
