Job Summary
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and manufacturing processes meet customer requirements, industry standards, and company quality objectives. The role involves developing quality control processes, conducting inspections, analyzing defects, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure compliance.
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and Pareto Analysis.
- Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities and verify their effectiveness.
- Monitor process capability and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, and records.
- Coordinate internal quality audits and support external/customer audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other applicable quality management standards.
- Work closely with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality concerns.
- Monitor key quality metrics such as rejection rate, rework, customer complaints, and process capability.
- Support new product development through quality planning activities such as APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plans (where applicable).
- Train production personnel on quality standards and inspection procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of quality tools (7 QC Tools, SPC, MSA, FMEA, CAPA, 8D).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and CMM (preferred).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt, CQE, Internal Auditor).
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, precision machining, or manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with customer-specific quality requirements and audit processes.

Working Conditions
- Manufacturing or production environment.
- May require shift work based on production needs.
- Occasional travel for supplier visits, customer audits, or quality inspections.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
