Summary:
UST is looking for Technical Lead – SampleManager LIMS to lead technical delivery for SampleManager LIMS implementation, enhancement, integration, and support projects. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SampleManager LIMS development and configuration, excellent customer-facing skills, and the ability to lead technical teams while managing multiple projects and priorities.
The role involves working closely with clients to understand business and enhancement requirements, conducting requirement-gathering workshops, designing technical solutions, leading development activities, and ensuring high-quality delivery within agreed timelines and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the technical team in SampleManager LIMS implementation, enhancement, integration, and support projects.
Act as the technical point of contact for customers and stakeholders, understanding requirements and proposing effective solutions.
Conduct requirement-gathering workshops, analyze business needs, and prepare detailed requirement and technical specification documents.
Evaluate client requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable SampleManager LIMS solutions.
Design, develop, configure, test, implement, maintain, and support SampleManager LIMS applications.
Develop and implement enhancements, revisions, workflows, and custom solutions based on client requirements.
Ensure solutions are delivered within agreed scope, timelines, quality standards, and budget.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, colleagues, and clients on LIMS-related technical issues.
Participate in solution design, technical reviews, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and quality assurance activities.
Follow established company standards, development methodologies, SOPs, and quality processes.
Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and production support.
Collaborate effectively with multiple technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and clients across projects.
Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to ensure application stability and reliability.
Manage multiple requirements and project activities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and delivery commitments.
Provide technical estimates, identify dependencies and risks, and communicate project progress and technical challenges to relevant stakeholders.
Support knowledge sharing, technical documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in SampleManager LIMS implementation and support.
Strong experience in developing, configuring, enhancing, and supporting SampleManager LIMS solutions.
Extensive experience working on LIMS implementation and customization projects.
Strong understanding of systems analysis, solution design, software development, quality assurance, testing, and integration methodologies.
Experience working directly with clients to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
Ability to conduct requirement workshops and prepare clear and comprehensive requirement/technical specification documents.
Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Experience with code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and quality assurance processes.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
