Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially aware Merchandiser to plan, manage, and optimize product assortments to maximize sales and profitability. The ideal candidate will analyze market trends, coordinate with suppliers and buyers, monitor inventory levels, and ensure the right products are available at the right time and place.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage product ranges, stock levels, and inventory allocation.
- Analyze sales data, customer trends, and market demand.
- Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and store teams for product availability.
- Monitor product performance and recommend markdowns or promotions.
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained in stores or online platforms.
- Forecast demand and prepare sales and inventory reports.
- Track competitor activities and pricing strategies.
- Maintain accurate product and inventory records.
- Support seasonal launches and promotional campaigns.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in merchandising, retail, or inventory management.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and retail management software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good understanding of market trends and consumer behavior.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail, fashion, FMCG, or e-commerce industries.
- Knowledge of ERP or inventory systems.
- Strong presentation and reporting skills.
