Job Opening: Civil Drafter (Submissions Specialist)
We are looking for a detail-oriented Civil Drafter to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming complex engineering concepts into precise technical drawings and, more importantly, will possess a deep understanding of the statutory submission process.

### Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Design: Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for civil engineering residential / commercial projects (structures, and site layouts) using AutoCAD and other industry-standard software.
- Submission Drawings: Develop comprehensive drawing sets specifically for local authority approvals (Municipality, Building Control, etc.), ensuring all technical specifications meet current codes and bylaws.
- Technical Coordination: Work closely with Civil Engineers and Architects to refine designs and incorporate feedback from regulatory bodies.
- Standardization: Maintain and update the office CAD library, ensuring all layers, line weights, and blocks remain consistent across projects.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough self-checks on drawings for accuracy, scale, and compliance before final submission.
### Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. Experience with Revit, Civil 3D, or SketchUp is a significant advantage.
- Submission Knowledge: Proven experience in preparing "Submission Sets," including site plans, floor plans, sections, elevations, and service layouts tailored for government approval.
- Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with local building codes, zoning laws, and submission protocols.
- Precision: Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines without compromising on accuracy.
### Preferred Attributes
- Experience: 1 years in a civil drafting role, specifically within a consultancy or construction firm.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate technical details clearly to both the internal team and external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying design clashes or compliance issues early in the drafting
