Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Diploma in Material Management or Store Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in store operations, inventory management, and material handling in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Job Summary
The Store Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day store operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, timely receipt and issuance of materials, maintaining stock records, and coordinating with internal departments to support uninterrupted production. The role requires adherence to company procedures, inventory accuracy, and efficient warehouse management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day store operations, including receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch of materials.
- Ensure proper documentation for inward and outward movement of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP/system.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the Procurement department for timely replenishment.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, and preservation of materials.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and stock reports.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Purchase, and Finance departments for material requirements.
- Verify material receipts against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
- Maintain proper housekeeping, safety, and security within the store area.
- Supervise store assistants and warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and statutory guidelines.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and store operations.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Understanding of warehouse management and material handling practices.
- Good analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in manufacturing, chemical, mining, minerals, ceramics, or industrial processing companies will be preferred.
- Exposure to internal audits and inventory control processes is an added advantage.
