Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Fabrication & Machining Supervisor to oversee shop-floor operations, ensure production quality, and manage manpower for fabrication and machining activities. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on knowledge and the ability to lead teams to meet production targets safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day fabrication and machining operations
- Interpret engineering drawings and ensure work is carried out as per specifications
- Plan and monitor production schedules to meet delivery timelines
- Coordinate with production, quality, and stores teams
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety norms, and housekeeping
- Handle manpower allocation, shift planning, and productivity improvement
- Monitor machine utilization, tooling, and consumables
- Support inspections and customer or third-party quality audits
- Report daily production status and issues to management
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in fabrication and machining supervision
- Strong knowledge of:
- Structural fabrication and welding processes
- CNC & conventional machining operations
- Measuring instruments and quality checks
- Ability to read and understand GA & fabrication drawings
- Experience handling skilled and semi-skilled workforce
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Diploma / ITI / Engineering qualification preferred
Preferred Experience
- Experience in heavy fabrication, pressure parts, oil & gas, power, or engineering projects
- Exposure to customer inspections and documentation
