Job Summary
The Purchase Executive is responsible for supporting procurement activities for EPC and commissioning projects, including vendor sourcing, material procurement, documentation, and coordination with engineering, projects, and site teams. The role ensures timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing
· Assist in procurement of materials, equipment, and services as per approved BOM, BOQ, and project specifications.
· Generate and process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
· Follow up with vendors for quotations, order confirmations, delivery schedules, and dispatch details.
· Maintain records of purchases, pricing, delivery status, and vendor communications.
Vendor Management
· Identify and develop new vendors and maintain an approved vendor list.
· Obtain and compare quotations (technical & commercial) for evaluation.
· Coordinate with engineering and project teams for technical clarifications.
· Support vendor negotiations under guidance (for experienced candidates).
EPC Project Coordination
· Coordinate with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to understand material requirements and priorities.
· Ensure timely delivery of materials to site to support project schedules.
· Track material receipt, inspection status, and discrepancies.
Documentation & Compliance
· Maintain procurement documentation such as PO files, delivery challans, invoices, and GRNs.
· Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and project requirements.
· Support audits by maintaining proper records and documentation.
Logistics & Stores Coordination
· Coordinate with logistics for transportation and delivery of materials.
· Liaise with stores for material receipt, stock updates, and issue tracking.
· Follow up on shortages, damages, or excess materials.
Continuous Support
· Assist in resolving vendor-related issues such as delays, quality concerns, or shortages.
· Support commissioning and site teams with urgent or shutdown material requirements.
· Perform other procurement-related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
- Fresher candidates with relevant education are encouraged to apply.
Experience
- Fresher: 0–1 year experience or internship in procurement / supply chain (preferred).
- Experienced: 1–3 years of experience in procurement for EPC, construction, or industrial projects.
Technical / Functional Skills
· Basic understanding of procurement processes and documentation.
· Knowledge of EPC project environment (preferred).
· Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally – preferred).
· Ability to read basic engineering BOQs and material lists (for experienced candidates).
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
