This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join Integrity Oversight Victoria (IOV) as a Senior Investigator in an ongoing role. IOV is the lead oversight body, providing independent oversight of integrity, accountability and investigatory agencies, and their officers, including IBAC and the Victorian Ombudsman. IOV also plays a key role in administering Victoria's public interest disclosure scheme.
We are seeking a highly skilled investigator with demonstrated experience leading and conducting complex investigations, including the use of coercive powers, within a regulatory, integrity, law enforcement or oversight environment.
Experience developing and implementing operational policies, procedures and practices is highly regarded.
Formal qualifications and/or training in investigations or a related discipline are desirable but not mandatory.
Job Overview
Reporting to the Director, Integrity Operations and Policy, the Senior Investigator is part of a small, collaborative and multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering all aspects of IOV's investigations function, including public interest disclosure investigations and own-motion investigations.
The role also contributes to the ongoing enhancement of IOV's investigations framework and supports the development and implementation of investigation policies, procedures and practices. The Senior Investigator may also assist with the assessment and management of complex complaints as required.
