Costing & Procurement Engineer (2+ Years Experience)

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Costing & Procurement Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candid Automobile ate will have experience in product costing, estimation, quotation preparation, and manufacturing cost analysis. Candidates with experience in Special Purpose Machines (SPM), industrial automation, or precision manufacturing will have an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate project and product cost estimates.
- Analyze manufacturing costs including material, machining, fabrication, assembly, and purchased components.
- Create and maintain BOM costing.
- Prepare commercial quotations based on customer requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing.
- Review engineering drawings for cost estimation.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Support sales and engineering teams during project bidding.
- Update costing data in ERP systems.
- Prepare estimation reports and cost summaries.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in costing / estimation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly.
- Experience with ERP software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
