- Develop and review engineering designs, drawings, layouts, and 3D models based on customer and project requirements.
- Lead design activities from concept development to detailed engineering and release.
- Prepare design calculations, specifications, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Perform design analysis and ensure designs meet functional, safety, reliability, and performance requirements.
- Review designs for manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, cost, and quality.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, procurement, testing, and other engineering functions to resolve technical issues.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior design engineers.
- Identify opportunities for design optimization, cost reduction, standardization, and product improvement.
- Investigate design-related failures, customer complaints, and field issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Support prototype development, testing, validation, and engineering changes.
- Ensure engineering drawings and documentation comply with applicable standards, specifications, and company procedures.
- Manage engineering change requests, design revisions, and document control.
- Interact with customers and suppliers on technical and design-related matters when required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, value engineering, and new product development initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, design methodologies, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and technical standards.
