We are looking for an experienced and passionate PGT English Teacher to join our Senior Secondary section. The ideal candidate should have strong command of the English language, excellent teaching and communication skills, and proven experience teaching English to Classes XI–XII in a CBSE school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English Language & Literature to Classes XI–XII as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver structured, engaging, and student-centric lesson plans.
- Develop students’ proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension.
- Teach prescribed literature, prose, poetry, and supplementary texts with focus on critical appreciation and interpretation.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking, analytical skills, creativity, and effective communication.
- Integrate real-life examples, discussions, presentations, debates, and technology-enabled teaching methods into lessons.
- Conduct regular tests, assignments, projects, presentations, and examinations.
- Prepare students effectively for CBSE Board examinations.
- Evaluate students’ written and oral work and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify individual learning gaps and provide remedial support and academic guidance.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student performance.
- Guide students in subject-related projects, presentations, debates, elocution, creative writing, and other activities.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Communicate with parents regarding students’ academic progress whenever required.
- Collaborate with other teachers and academic coordinators for curriculum planning and student development.
- Participate in school events, workshops, meetings, seminars, and co-curricular activities.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of teaching experience as a PGT English Teacher, preferably in a CBSE school.
- Strong command of English language, grammar, literature, and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the CBSE Senior Secondary English curriculum and examination pattern.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective expression among students.
- Strong lesson planning, assessment, and student mentoring abilities.
- Passionate about teaching and committed to students’ academic and overall development.
Educational Qualification
- Master’s Degree in English / English Literature or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. is mandatory/preferred, as applicable.
- Candidates with relevant CBSE Senior Secondary teaching experience will be given preference
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
