Job Description – Head of Department (HOD) – Construction
Experience: 18–20 Years
Salary: ₹1.50 Lakhs – ₹2.00 Lakhs per month
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Construction Head of Department (HOD) to lead and manage end-to-end construction operations. The role requires a strong leader with extensive expertise in project execution, cost management, compliance, and team leadership within large-scale residential or commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and overall leadership to the construction department.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution from inception to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders for seamless execution.
- Monitor site progress, conduct inspections, and enforce strict quality and safety compliance.
- Manage financial performance, cost control, vendor negotiations, and resource optimization.
- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, building codes, and health & safety standards.
- Present project progress reports, financial updates, and risk assessments to senior management.
- Drive process improvements and adopt innovative construction methodologies to enhance efficiency.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 18–20 years of proven experience in construction project management with leadership exposure.
- Strong knowledge of project management, budgeting, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
