Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Assembly Unit Manager / Assembly Floor Incharge to manage the complete assembly unit of our electrical accessories manufacturing business.
The candidate will be responsible for managing all activities inside the assembly building, including worker management, task allocation, quality checks, raw material issue, inventory tracking, stock management, shortages, material inflow/outflow, efficiency improvement, and daily reporting.
The candidate must have minimum 5 years of experience in factory, production, assembly, or manufacturing unit management. Experience in an Electrical Accessories Manufacturing Unit and Assembly Unit Management will be strongly preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssembly Unit Management
- Manage complete day-to-day operations of the assembly unit.
- Ensure smooth functioning of all assembly activities.
- Plan and assign daily work to workers based on priority, material availability, and production requirements.
- Monitor daily output and ensure assembly targets are achieved.
- Handle general daily problems on the assembly floor.
- Maintain discipline, cleanliness, and proper arrangement inside the assembly unit.
Worker Management
- Manage both piece-rate workers and salary-based workers.
- Assign tasks to workers and monitor their daily work.
- Track worker-wise output, especially for piece-rate workers.
- Ensure workers are working efficiently and not sitting idle.
- Monitor worker performance, speed, accuracy, and discipline.
- Report absenteeism, low performance, delays, or work-related issues to management.
Raw Material, Inventory & Stock Management
- Issue required raw materials and components to workers for assembly.
- Ensure workers receive correct materials in correct quantities.
- Track raw material issued, finished goods received, rejected pieces, and balance material.
- Maintain proper inventory and stock records.
- Monitor shortages of raw materials, components, tools, and other assembly requirements.
- Inform management in advance about material shortages and requirements.
- Prevent wastage, misuse, loss, theft, or mixing of materials.
- Maintain proper inflow and outflow records of materials.
Quality Checking
- Check quality of assembled products as per company standards.
- Ensure products are assembled correctly before sending them for packing.
- Check fitting, finishing, movement, alignment, screws, contacts, springs, and other components.
- Identify defective or rejected pieces and keep them separately.
- Maintain rejection and quality issue records.
- Ensure only properly checked goods are sent forward to the packing department.
Material Inflow & Outflow Tracking
- Maintain records of raw material received in the assembly unit.
- Maintain records of material issued to workers.
- Track finished goods produced by the assembly unit.
- Track rejected, pending, and balance material.
- Coordinate with production, store, packing, and dispatch teams.
- Ensure proper handover of finished goods to the packing department.
Efficiency & Productivity
- Improve worker efficiency and assembly output.
- Reduce idle time, delays, wastage, and repeated mistakes.
- Ensure urgent orders and priority items are completed on time.
- Plan daily work according to available manpower and material.
- Suggest improvements in assembly process, worker allocation, and material handling.
Reports & Documentation
- Maintain daily production and assembly reports.
- Maintain worker-wise output records.
- Maintain raw material issue and balance records.
- Maintain shortage, rejection, and pending work reports.
- Maintain stock and inventory records.
- Prepare reports in registers and Microsoft Excel.
- Submit daily work report to management.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in factory, production, assembly, or manufacturing unit supervision/management.
- Experience in managing an assembly unit is required.
- Experience in Electrical Accessories Manufacturing Unit will be strongly preferred.
- Experience in managing both piece-rate workers and salary-based workers will be preferred.
- Experience in raw material tracking, inventory management, stock management, quality checking, and worker output tracking is required.
Required Skills
- Well-versed with Microsoft Excel.
- Good knowledge of inventory management and stock management.
- Good knowledge of raw material issue, material tracking, and finished goods tracking.
- Good worker management and task allocation skills.
- Good counting, checking, and calculation ability.
- Ability to maintain registers, reports, and Excel sheets.
- Basic quality checking knowledge.
- Ability to handle daily factory floor problems.
- Responsible, punctual, disciplined, and active on the factory floor.
- Able to manage pressure, workers, shortages, and daily production requirements.
Candidate Preference
- Candidate should preferably be from the Electrical Accessories / Electrical Goods / Switches / Sockets / Plastic Electrical Products industry.
- Candidate should have practical experience in managing an assembly unit.
- Candidate should be nearby and comfortable travelling daily to Rohini Sector 38 / Begumpur for work.
- Candidate should be comfortable working on the factory floor and directly managing workers.
Not Eligible
- Freshers are not eligible.
- Candidates with less than 5 years of relevant experience should not apply.
- Candidates without assembly unit or factory floor management experience should not apply.
- Candidates who are not comfortable managing workers directly should not apply.
- Candidates living very far from Rohini Sector 38 / Begumpur will not be preferred.
Salary
Salary will be based on experience, capability, industry background, and practical knowledge.
