Functional Competencies:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
- Install, calibrate, and maintain field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level Control valves.
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation faults to minimize downtime.
- Assist in commissioning and testing of new instruments and control systems.
- Maintain accurate records of calibration, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Support engineers in preparing and updating P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrument documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and plant operating procedures.
- Provide technical support during plant shutdowns and turnarounds.
- Proficiency in calibration tools and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Train junior technicians on instrumentation practices and safety protocols
- The person should have exposure and knowledge of PLCs like Allen Bradley, Siemens, Yokogawa (or similar systems) and knowledge of instruments like Pressure, Level, Flow and Temperature Transmitters / Elements, Control valves, Solenoid Valves, Pressure Switches, Pressure Gauges, proximity sensors, Weighing Balance & Weigh Bridges. Remote IO DCS.
