Job Summary
We are looking for a Design & Development Engineer with experience in automotive plastic component design and development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in exterior plastic trim development, CAD design, and product development activities within the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end design and development of automotive exterior plastic trim components.
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into manufacturable designs.
- Perform design modifications and feasibility studies based on customer feedback.
- Apply DFM, DFA, and DFMEA principles during product development.
- Work closely with tooling, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams.
- Participate in mould development and tooling review activities.
- Assist in fixture design and validation activities.
- Support DVP execution and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
Required Skills
- Experience in Automotive Exterior Plastic Trim Development.
- Understanding of product development processes.
- Knowledge of GD&T, DFM, DFA, and DFMEA.
- Exposure to mould development and tooling activities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
