CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER
Duties & Responsibilities of MBBS Doctor (CMO)
1. Patient Care & Clinical Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose, and treat patients in OPD, IPD, and Emergency.
- Provide immediate medical care in emergency and critical cases.
- Conduct daily rounds of admitted patients and monitor their progress.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, case sheets, and treatment plans.
- Ensure proper documentation for medico-legal cases (MLC).
- Stabilize patients and refer to specialists when required.
2. Emergency & Casualty Management
- Handle all emergency cases efficiently and promptly.
- Perform life-saving procedures (CPR, intubation, first aid, trauma care).
- Coordinate with ICU/OT teams for critical patients.
- Ensure proper triaging of patients in casualty.
3. Administrative Responsibilities
- Supervise junior doctors, nursing staff, and paramedical staff.
- Ensure hospital protocols, SOPs, and policies are followed.
- Maintain discipline and smooth functioning of assigned department.
- Coordinate with management regarding patient care and hospital operations.
4. Documentation & Legal Compliance
- Maintain proper medical records as per hospital and legal standards.
- Complete discharge summaries, death summaries, and certificates.
- Ensure compliance with government schemes like:
- ECHS
- ESI
- Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY)
- Handle medico-legal documentation as per guidelines.
5. Coordination & Communication
- Communicate effectively with patients and attendants regarding condition and treatment.
- Coordinate with consultants/specialists for patient management.
- Work closely with TPA/insurance department for documentation and approvals.
6. Infection Control & Patient Safety
- Follow infection control protocols (hand hygiene, PPE, sterilization).
- Ensure patient safety standards are maintained.
- Report any hospital-acquired infections or incidents.
7. Duty & Shift Management
- Perform duties as per roster (day/night shifts).
- Be available on call in case of emergency.
- Ensure proper handover to next duty doctor.
8. Quality & Ethical Practice
- Practice medicine ethically and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Follow medical ethics and professional standards.
- Participate in audits, clinical meetings, and training programs.
9. Additional Responsibilities (as CMO Role)
- Act as in-charge during shift in absence of senior consultants.
- Take decisions in critical situations for patient care.
- Ensure coordination between all departments.
- Report any incidents to hospital administration.
Pay: ₹95,000.00 - ₹110,000.00 per month
